It's 3pm - we're tired, hungry, sunburned.  Time to relax a 'lil bit.   Good thing we stopped by Bantayan Island Nature Park & Resort.

We really didn't know what to expect - so we just paid P150 for the day tour and checked what they had to offer.

Well the P150 is all worth it!   The resort has a mini zoo (though I feel sorry for those caged birds and eagles), caves, lush gardens, swimming pool and restaurant.   The staff is very hospitable and friendly.   There will be a guide who'd walk you through the resort.

It's pretty secluded and away from the main town.  You can stay here for overnight.  They offer cabanas for accommodation - pricey though.

I can't help myself taking pictures of these Gumamela flowers.  They have hundreds of species in the resort!!!

Beautiful Lavender

You can also swim at the beach although it's murky during summer.

We had no plans of swimming - but since it's so hot, well why not!  You can rent the towels for P30 each.   Guests are required to follow proper swimming attire.  Good thing I was wearing bikinis underneath.

You can also swim in the cave.  The guide said it has brackish water.  I'm not so aware of whatever species in that water.  So... NO.  :)

In this picture are stalagmites and stalactites.   You're not allowed to touch or step on it (obviously).

We left the resort before sunset - full, fresh and clean.

I wanted to catch sunset at Kota beach - the best sand bar in Bantayan. It's our last stop. Stay Tuned! XOXO
