From El nido, we stopped over at Fort Santa Isabelle, Taytay, Palawan. Taytay is about one and a half hour's drive from El Nido - you will pass through it if you are traveling by road to El Nido.

Fort Santa Isabelle is a 7th century fort built by the Augustinian Recollects for three primary purposes. It was a watchtower from local and foreign invaders. It also served as a house for Spanish Officials and shelter for people in times of attacks from unfriendly forces.

Entrance fee is P30.

How to go there? We actually rented the whole van, so you can just ask the driver to stop by in Taytay. Lazy, eh? :)
