A good friend invited us over to try out his boat.  We weren't really expecting a lot. We actually thought that his boat's just a local 'bangka'.  (We must have underestimated his wealth LOL!) To our surprise, it was a yacht and we also had a Jet ski tagged a long. What a treat! :)

Unfortunately, we didn't prepare for the trip.  We didn't bring sunblock, shades, swimming attire, cameras, etc.  Well, it's because there were news about Taal Lake being polluted as there's overpopulation of fish tents.   So I thought, the water would not be clean and it would be murky.  We expected that it will be just a quick tour with not so much activities besides drinking on the boat ;)  LESSON LEARNED.

To our surprise, the trip turned out great.  The view was amazing! Taal Lake is clean and green and the lake looks so much alive.   And of course we had fun driving the jet ski!!

The boat was parked at Sta. Maria resort.  The resort's actually nice and not crowded.  I saw this link from the net where you can find more pictures and also location  >>Sta Maria Resort

I think it will be nice to stay at this resort for a picnic with friends and family and you can bring your fishing rods/gears too as there are quite a lot of fish to harvest.

Unfortunately, the yacht and jet ski we used are not for rent.  They're for personal use of the owner and 'friends' (just lucky to be! LOL!)  But our guide said that he can arrange a tour for wakeboarding   From what I remember, it's around P6,000 to  P8,000 for 3-4 hours.   Promise to get more details after our next sail!

Taal volcano is the smallest of its kind in the world.  I was so close to it!

Another surprise is that there's a bird sanctuary.  As they say, birds are a good measure of environmental condition.

The best part of the day was enjoying the sunset while having meaningful conversations with friends and crew on the boat.  Good thing we're equipped with good sounds, cold beer, and good vibes.

LIFE IS GOOD. :)
