Where is the best area to stay in Taipei? Majority said.. in Ximending. True enough!

It's close to malls, night markets,  restaurants, and it is accessible to all public transportation, train and bus stations.  One thing is that you need to book early to situate yourself in the most convenient area.

Well, we didn't book early. HA!  Hence, we ended up booking at a hotel which is several blocks away from the train/bus stations.  It was the best choice at that time.  :)

So... we booked at Chaiin Hotel Tzung Tung Fu (until now, I can't find its website. sorry!). I didn't regret booking at this hotel because the staff's extremely helpful.  They speak very good English as well.

What I also like:
The breakfast is buffet
Our room was clean, new, and modern
White sheets, comfy duvet (musts!)
The hotel is close to most tourist spots

On the other hand, the hotel is quite hard to find.  Make sure that you bring a paper with the Chinese name and map of the hotel so the taxi driver would easily know.

We paid around P4,800 a night.

How to get to the hotel?  Take the airport bus.  We arrived around 1 or 2am, and luckily we were able to catch the last bus. And since we arrived really late, we took a cab from the bus stop.  It was just less than NTD 100.
