Moalboal is a playground for adrenaline junkies. There's also plenty to see!
Here are my top 3 things to do in Moalboal:
1. Canyoning/Canyoneering
There are several travel agencies to choose from when booking your canyoneering adventure in Moalboal. We decided to book our trip at our resort Club Serena through its dive shop Aquaholics for the reasons that it's convenient, their equipment is new and reliable, and because we have our own guides for our small group plus we have our own butler (lol!). It's also the brand endorsed by Drew Arellano. Haha!
The price is quite pricey compared to others but the service and exclusivity are worth the price. It's P3,500 per person for a group of more than 4. See below for their price list.
Our Experience:
Every trek can be different on any other day. The worst scenario is if it's raining as even the slightest rain can lead to flash floods.
Note: In some days, canyoning may not be allowed due to weather conditions so it's safer to plan your trip during a non-rainy season.
Our experience was quite a memorable one. It was raining for consecutive days and the current was just too strong on the day of our trip. We ended up taking the 'unusual' trails.
I still can't believe how I was able to jump all those cliffs. It was adrenaline-pumping, heart-stopping and death-defying experiences!
Here's our most decent photo of the canyons. Because of the rain, it's not so turquoise like on most blogs . So better to manage your expectations too.
Booties, helmet, life jackets were provided by Aquaholics.
Along the way, near the Kawasan falls, is a small hydroelectric power plant that harnesses the energy of Kawasan river.
2. Scuba Diving
Of course,
my favorite hobby, scuba diving!! In Moalboal, you can dive with millions of
sardines!
If you're not a diver, no worries, you can
snorkel with them because they can be found 5-10 meters from surface. You may also opt to do a Discover Scuba Diving!

Driving by scooter around the islands of the Philippines is one of the best things to do while traveling. It allows you to explore independently the real beauty of each island, its beaches, the mountains and green landscapes. Not only that, but you also discover the hospitality of Filipinos.
The scooters cost P500-P600 per day. But you may opt to rent it for half day.
You can visit the church, wet market, pier, Panagsama beach, Kawasan Falls, Mainit Hotspring, and many more! Just ask the locals. :)
Safe travels!! XOXO
